Every single one of these paintings is great; there's not a bad one in the bunch. That being said, since each of them truly does have their own distinct vibe, each person's taste is going to be a little different, and they're going to prefer some paintings over others.
20 Prairie Ride
1x2 (Sarah Boeving)
For fans of horses or the Old West, Prairie Ride is going to be a perfect fit. It's a 1x2 painting, so it's not going to take up much space, requiring just a bit of verticality.
If you've built a little house on the prairie, this painting is going to find a home on your walls. Or maybe you could hang it in the stables and inspire your horses.
19 Baroque
2x2 (Sarah Boeving)
A nice, simple painting of a cake, a pot, and a yellow flower. It's one of those paintings that you just stop and look at for a minute, studying the detail in each of the objects included.
This is a 2x2 painting, still keeping it in the pretty small department. Hang that thing up in a hallway and watch people stop to take a look at it along the way.
18 Humble
2x2 (Sarah Boeving)
A recreation of a truly classic painting, Humble features two villagers posing together for a painting with their home in the background.
At 2x2, this is a portrait that should fit just about anywhere but could look nice next to a window right in one of the main living spaces.
17 Meditative
1x1 (Sarah Boeving)
The smallest painting of the bunch at 1x1, Meditative is truly meditative: just a calm, serene look at a red flower against a blue sky backdrop.
For a small painting, this can pack a real punch in a room. Something about its size and simplicity can add a really nice touch to an otherwise busy room.
16 Unpacked
4x4 (Sarah Boeving)
A landscape painting of the world of Minecraft in the world of Minecraft, Unpacked is a 4x4 rendition of a hill, water, and some trees.

One of the bigger paintings in the game, Unpacked can really fill up a wall with a lot of color. Bonus points if you use it as a secret entrance and have the landscape the view from the painting.
15 Sunflowers
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
One of the larger-medium paintings in the game, Sunflowers features its namesake. The sunflower is a lot of people's favorite flower, meaning this is likely going to be a pretty popular decoration.
The lighting in this painting is particularly striking; it can't be easy to render shadows that effectively in pixel art this low-res, but it's done magnificently here.
14 Cavebird
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Featuring a bird and a cliff, Cavebird is a 3x3 painting, keeping it in that slightly-larger space. It's framed by a darkened circle around the edges, really pushing your eye to what's in the center.
What's most impressive about this painting is the clouds in the background. They are spectacularly rendered, particularly the sunlight rolling off the uneven roundness of the clouds.
13 Bouquet
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Who doesn't love a nice bouquet of flowers? This is a 3x3 painting of a bouquet sitting in front of a painting.
This is one of the more complex paintings in the game, with basically two separate shots and color palettes in one painting.
12 Cotán
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Cotán is another 3x3 painting, this time featuring a golden apple and a glistening melon, both placed in a windowsill.
The gold and red of the apple and melon in this painting really pop because of the neutral colors otherwise, and together with the lighting, it makes for a beautiful painting.
11 Fern
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
This is a painting of a fern in serious trouble. Fern depicts a fern on a table with a fire beginning to burn right next to it.
Fern is a 3x3 painting, making it big enough that it can't fit into tight spaces but small enough that it likely isn't going to take up the entire wall.
10 Passage
4x2 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Passage is a 4x2 painting featuring a human skeleton on the run through a passage from a dinosaur skeleton.

Minecraft: 14 Rarest Biomes
Minecraft has several interesting biomes that might pop up in your world, but some are rarer than others.
1
At 4x2, this is one of the larger paintings that might still be easy enough to include, since much of its size is horizontal instead of vertical.
9 Changing
4x2 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Changing is a 4x2 painting depicting a single landscape over the course of both the dark of night and the bright of day.
The single color palette of the foreground is a nice balance to the mixture of the background color, which changes between between dark and light.
8 Owlemons
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
An owl peaks out of a basket to admire some melons. This is a particularly cute 3x3 painting that would be a nice fit in the kitchen if you happen to have one.
The bright yellow of the lemons and the light grey really make them the focus of this painting, keeping the owl from blending into the background.
7 Endboss
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Endboss is a painting featuring a nice room that looks like it almost belongs in a palace. The room has multiple statues and/or skeletons, with either an alcove with another statue on the left or a skeleton looking at its reflection in a mirror.

In the background on the right, the doorway leads to a darker room with a tree. This is a 3x3 painting, keeping it in line with many released in this update.
6 Backyard
3x4 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
One of the most striking paintings in all of Minecraft, not just in this update, Backyard features some interesting architecture not usually seen in Minecraft.
This is a 3x4 painting, making it one of the bigger paintings in the game. It's well worth the space that it takes up.
5 Pond
3x4 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Pond features a woman in older-style clothing sitting near a pond next to a skeleton poking out of the water, with both of them looking directly at us.
This is another 3x4 painting, with it taking quite a sizable portion of the wall. But the contrast in the color between the top and the bottom almost gives it two different palettes.
4 Lowmist
4x2 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Lowmist depicts a mountain range in the distance, with a low mist covering the ground in front of them, obscuring the ground.
This is another 4x2 painting, making it one of the few large paintings that's still easy to accommodate in terms of size.
3 Finding
4x2 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Finding is a painting showing someone on the ground just outside some kind of old-style architecture that's possibly been abandoned.
Another one of the 4x2 paintings added in the Tricky Trials update, it can be fit on the upper trim of a wall with relative ease.
2 Orb
4x4 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Orb is a painting that really draws your attention, showing a streetlight lighting up a dark path at night. Despite the light, the whole painting maintains a cooler color palette with blacks, blues, and greens, with the light staying a neutral white instead of a warmer color like orange.
This is a large painting at 4x4, but it's worth the size. This is a work of art that could be the centerpiece of a room, making you appreciate the size instead of struggling to figure out how to fit it in.
1 Tides
3x3 (Kristoffer Zetterstrand)
Tides is an absolutely fantastic 3x3 painting depicting someone sitting alone on a grassy hill next to a cliff on a bright day. This painting really encapsulates a vibe spectacularly and does a great job of showing a kind of isolation that doesn't necessarily feel lonely.
There are a lot of things to love about this painting, but one of the best things about it is that the feeling it captures really can line up to the feeling of playing Minecraft. Minecraft can be a world that is isolated. It is a world that can feel pretty devoid of any kind of life that resembles you, the player. But it's not a world that feels lonely, necessarily, because of the bright, open-ended nature of the game.
